Spectranet Coverage Areas in Nigeria

You must be in one of the cities that has Spectranet coverage in Nigeria to enjoy their ultra-fast internet service.

Being the first company to launch a 4th Generation (4G) network in Nigeria, I would have expected them to have expanded to other cities and states in 2023 but that’s obviously not the case.

Most of the companies that came after them just followed their footsteps and make their services limited to a few cities in a few states in the country.

I believed that if Spectranet had expanded its reach to many states like our traditional service providers (talking of mtn, Glo, Airtel, and 9mobile), we could have had great 4G services across the country because those that came after them would have done the same in other to be able to compete.

Spectranet Coverage

  • Port-Harcourt
  • Ibadan
  • Lagos
  • Abuja

That’s right, Spectranet reach is only 4 cities in 4 states in Nigeria. To make this clear, except for Lagos state and FCT, their reach in the other 2 states is limited to the capital.

It is only available in Port-Harcourt and not the entire Rivers State and also only available to residents of Ibadan and not the entire Oyo state.

I wouldn’t blame them much though, many people that reside outside these cities can’t afford their services but what about other state capitals and major cities?

There are many people that would love to have Spectranet in Osogbo, Kano, Katsina, Benin, Ilorin, Owerri, Abia, Asaba, Warri, etc.

But at the moment, you can only use Spectranet service in the 4 cities and states listed above. You will have to settle for 1 of the 4 major telecom companies in Nigeria for your internet.

Final Thought

Spectranet coverage areas in Nigeria include only 4 cities in 4 states of the federation. Their service was first launched in Lagos and was later extended to 3 other states.

Even in cities where they operate, there are some areas where their service is not that fast and reliable.

So make sure their service is in your area before you buy any of their product or subscribe to any of their services even if you reside in the covered cities and states.
