MTN XtraSpecial Call Rate
13.33 kobo/second for both local and international calls to 11 selected countries.
Let’s do some call rate calculations to know the talk time which is how long it will take to exhaust different recharge values.
First, let’s convert the call rate to Naira per minute from K/sec.
- 13.33 kobo – 1 second
- X – 60 seconds
X = 799.8 kobo
But,
- 1 Naira – 100 kobo
- X – 799.8 kobo
X = 7.998 Naira per minute
MTN XtraSpecial Talktime
Now let’s calculate the Talktime for 100 up to 1000 Naira airtime recharge.
100 Naira Recharge
Talk Time = 100 / 7.998 = 12 minutes 30 seconds.
200 Naira Recharge
Talk Time = 200 / 7.998 = 25 minutes
300 Naira Recharge
Talk Time = 300 / 7.998 = 37 minutes 31 seconds
500 Naira Recharge
Talk Time = 500 / 7.998 = 62 minutes 31 seconds
1000 Naira Recharge
Talk Time = 1000 / 7.998 = 125 minutes 2 seconds
Final Thought
As you can see, the Talktime is impressive and very close to what you would have gotten on plans like Yafun Yafun with over 13 minutes of talk time not to talk of the great MTN Pulse tariff plan.
But when you consider the fact that this talk time isn’t just for local calls as the case is on both aforementioned plans but also for international calls to selected 11 countries listed at the beginning of this write-up, you will start to see why it is a great or even better call plan.
Apart from that, it also offers data plans that are a bit cheaper than what you will get on other tariff plans.
So if you have one or two relatives in any of the above foreign countries that you often keep in touch with, you should consider using mtn xtraspecial tariff plan as your default plan.
