Airtel Airtime Transfer Code: How to Use it and Change Your Me2U PIN

The ability to send credit is a feature that can come in very handy if and when you need it. With the airtel airtime transfer code, you can easily share your credit with another number that is also on the Airtel network.

Airtel Nigeria calls this service Me2U and it only works when the transfer is to another airtel number. You can’t transfer airtime from your airtel line to numbers from another network such as mtn, Glo, and 9mobile.

All airtel sim cards are by default eligible for this service but there are things you need to do first before you get started with it such as changing your PIN from the default combination which is 1234 to your preferred one.

How to Change Airtel Airtime Transfer (Me2U) PIN

To change your airtel me2u transfer PIN, dial *432# >> 3 for PIN Management >> 1 to change PIN >> enter the current PIN which is 1234 being your first time >> enter new PIN >> re-enter new PIN and you will see a confirmation message.

If you have forgotten your PIN, you can get it back by resetting it. To reset your me2u PIN, all you have to do is contact airtel customer care and one of the ways you can do that is by calling the airtel care line on 111.

It is worth mentioning that, airtime isn’t the only thing you can transfer, you can also transfer data from airtel to airtel line too.

Airtel Airtime Transfer Code 2023

  • Dial *432#
  • Enter 1 for Airtel to Airtel
  • Input the airtel phone number of the recipient
  • Enter the amount of airtime you want to send
  • Complete the me2u airtime transfer by entering your PIN

Alternatively, you can just dial *432*airtel_number*amount#. Where “airtel_number” is the Airtel number you want to transfer airtime to and “amount” is how much you want to transfer.

How to Transfer Airtime on Airtel With SMS

To transfer airtime using SMS, send “2u recipient’s airtel number amount PIN” without the quote to 432. For example; send 2u 08123455678 500 2345 to 432 if you want to send 500 Naira credit to 0812345678 with 2345 as your me2u PIN.

Final Thought

To make sure no one can just transfer airtime from your airtime line to any number they want, you should change your transfer PIN immediately after your new sim has been activated.

If you are using an old sim and you have never used this service before, it is still recommended that you change your PIN.

There is no transfer limit and there are no transfer charges.

As you can see, sending airtime from your own airtel sim card to another is a very easy but handy feature you can make use of if need be. You can do so using the USSD code or using the SMS method.

I just wish it is also possible to send credit to another network like 9mobile, Glo, MTN and not necessarily to numbers only on airtel networks.
