Glo Infinito Tariff Plan: Migration Code, FandF and Call Rate

To get the best out of Glo infinito, you should make use of friends and family offers and make sure you register only Glo numbers.

Infinito is a simple yet complicated call plan but I would have simplified the whole thing by the time you are done reading this write-up.

I said simply because there are no hidden charges such as a daily access fee.

Similarly, I said complicated because even though both on-net and off-net call rates are the same, they are a bit too high considering the fact that there is no recharge bonus but then the call rate is cheaper for friends and family numbers.

You will be able to register other numbers to the family and friends list but the cheap call rate only applies to only the Glo numbers on the list.

Glo Infinito Migration Code

To migrate to Glo infinito tariff plan, dial *100*9*1#. Using the code for the first time in 30 days is free and costs 100 Naira otherwise.

Glo Infinito Call Rate

  • Glo to Glo: 26 Kobo per Second
  • Glo to Other Networks: 26 K/sec
  • Family and Friends: 11K/s when you called 10 registered Glo numbers.

Before we do the Talktime calculation that will allow us to know how long it will take to use different airtime recharge values. But first, let’s convert the rate from kobo per second to Naira per minute.

For On-Net and Off-Net Calls

  • 26 kobo – 1 second
  • X – 60 seconds

X = 1560 kobo

But,

  • 1 Naira – 100 kobo
  • X – 1560 kobo

X = 15.6 Naira per minute.

For fnf Calls

  • 11 kobo – 1 second
  • X – 60 seconds

X = 660 kobo

But,

  • 1 Naira – 100 kobo
  • X – 660 kobo

X = 6.6 Naira per minute

100 Naira Airtime Talktime

  • On-Net & Off-Net = 100 / 15.6 = 6 Naira 24 seconds
  • FnF = 100 / 6.6 = 15 minutes 9 seconds

200 Naira Airtime Talktime

  • On-Net & Off-Net = 200 / 15.6 = 12 minutes 49 seconds
  • FnF = 200 / 6.6 = 30 minutes 18 seconds

300 Naira Airtime

  • On-Net & Off-Net = 300 / 15.6 = 19 minutes 14 seconds
  • FnF = 300 / 6.6 = 45 minutes 27 seconds

500 Naira Airtime Talktime

  • On-Net & Off-Net = 500 / 15.6 = 32 minutes 3 seconds
  • FnF = 500 / 6.6 = 75 minutes 45 seconds

1000 Naira Airtime Talktime

  • On-Net & Off-Net = 1000 / 15.6 = 64 minutes 6 seconds
  • FnF = 1000 / 6.6 = 151 minutes 31 seconds

Glo Infinito Family and Friends

  • Dial *101*1*Glo phone Number# to register a number on the friends and family list.
  • Dial *101*2*current phone number*New number# to modify or change the fnf list.
  • Dial *101*3*phone number# to remove a number from the fnf list.

Remember that even though you will be able to register numbers from other networks on the fnf list, the normal 26 kobo / second call rate will apply to them. The cheap 11k/s rate only applies to glo numbers on the list.

Another thing worth noting is that once you add your first 10 numbers, you will need 50 Naira to modify and delete existing numbers. Keep that in mind.

Final Thought

There are other call plans out there with better on-net (glo to glo) and off-net (glo to other networks) call rates and even international numbers.

I guess what I am trying to say is that except you only have to call just 10 Glo numbers, you will be better off with plans like berekete and 11k/s. You should check my write-up about the best glo plans for making calls in Nigeria.

Infinito is just 2 minutes and 1 minute Talktime better than the aforementioned Glo plans respectively but then there is data benefits and international call discount on some selected countries.
