How to Transfer Data from Glo to Glo Line

Globacom has numerous data plans that their customers can purchase but sometimes, not everyone will have the funds to do so. This is why they have made it possible for their customers to be able to transfer data from Glo to Glo line and we will iron out everything you need to know about it in this write-up.

Being the Grandmasters of data, it is not surprising that customers make so much use of Glo’s data. If one person has data and others do not, he or she can share the data with them so everyone can be able to access the internet.

The primary code for this on Glo is *127# and it can be used in two ways – Data sharing and data gifting. We shall be discussing both.

How to Transfer Data from Glo to Glo Line

To share data that most people consider the transfer of MB, you have to add them as a beneficiary by dialing *127*01*Glo Phone number# or Text “Share Glo Phone Number” to 127.

To unshare or stop sharing data to a glo number, just remove that number from your list of beneficiaries by dialing *127*02*Glo Number# or text Remove Glo Phone Number to 127.

Now, let’s break the above paragraph to that anyone can easily understand what data sharing is and how to go about it with examples.

This allows you to share your data plans with other people. In this method, the data in your bundle balance is shared evenly between you and your beneficiaries.

You can add a maximum of 5 beneficiaries and before you can share data, you need to have at least one beneficiary.

How do I Add Beneficiaries for Data Sharing on Glo?

Adding beneficiaries: There are 2 ways to do this, by using a USSD code or by SMS.

First Method {USSD}

Second Method {Via SMS}

Adding beneficiaries on the Glo Data Sharing platform can be done via SMS by following the below step:

The phone number(s) you added as beneficiaries will automatically have access to your data and can start browsing the internet with it.

Sometimes, the sim card we want to share or gift data to is one of ours and we can’t always memorize all of our own numbers. Hence, why I published a write-up on different ways on how to check Glo number in Nigeria easily and fast.
